Winter holidays as part of a balanced educational model that respects the natural rhythms of children and young people
Reus, February 16, 2026 – This week, the Lycée Français International de Reus is on winter break, a pause included in its pedagogical calendar, structured in cycles of six teaching weeks followed by a period of rest.
This organization prevents accumulated fatigue, reduces stress, and allows children and adolescents to return to the classroom with greater focus, energy, and a positive attitude toward learning.
The same approach explains why the school year will begin on September 3. Being one of the first to start does not mean having fewer holidays, but rather redistributing them in a more coherent and sustainable way. The result is a continuous, structured calendar designed to ensure solid learning without excessively long periods that could cause fatigue.
The Lycée reaffirms a clear commitment: to offer a demanding, international, and multilingual education, while also respecting the natural rhythms of students, directly contributing to their happiness, emotional security, and overall development.
The Lycée, a school that cares.
