Secondary – collège

Secondary Education in the French System: Collège

(From 6th Grade to 3rd Year of ESO)

At the Lycée Français International de Reus, the stage of secondary education is known as Collège, comprising four years: 6ème, 5ème, 4ème, and 3ème, which approximately correspond to 6th Grade and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Year of ESO in the Spanish educational system.

The primary objective of Collège is to support students during the transition to adolescence by consolidating fundamental learning while progressively developing autonomy, critical thinking, and a structured methodology for working.

Special attention is given to methodological support, especially in the first years, to ensure that students acquire solid organization and study skills that will help them succeed in subsequent courses and the transition to Lycée.

Diplôme National du Brevet (DNB)

At the end of 3ème, students take the Diplôme National du Brevet (DNB), the official French exam that certifies the completion of Collège.
